hi, i'm jan โฟ
A cozy little corner of the internet.
Backend developer by trade, homelab tinkerer by night. This is where I keep my projects, my server hobby, and the occasional bit of writing.

about me
Software developer, professional tab-hoarder.
I'm Jan. My day-to-day is backend work โ mostly PHP and Symfony, with Docker and CI/CD pipelines wired in wherever they'll fit. I like the kind of project that has real architecture decisions to make, not just boxes to fill in.
Outside of work, self-hosting is the hobby that ate all my other hobbies. I run my own Proxmox box, my own git forge, my own mail server โ mostly because "how hard can it be" is a personality trait at this point. I've also been experimenting with AI-assisted development, pushing how far tools like this can take a side project.
I'm always up for something that actually challenges me โ new stack, new problem, doesn't matter. Repetitive work with no learning curve is the fastest way to lose me.
